We have opportunities for you to make
a contribution and offer a service to the people we support within
our services. We support people with learning disabilities and some
physical disabilities to live and experience life.
Are you interested in assisting people
to achieve their best and can you work as part of a team to deliver
an outstanding service to people? If so we can offer you good
support, training, supervision and fun in working as part of a
team.
As part of a small team, you will
ensure support is available as and when required, therefore you
will be required to work a flexible rota covering, early mornings,
evenings, weekends and public holidays.
You must be able to demonstrate basic
IT, literacy and numeracy skills and have communication skills
which will enable you to create good working relationships with
colleagues and service users.

Support Services

1 x 37.5 hour post & 1
x 18.75 hour post
£12,978 - £15,916 (pro
rata for part time positions) per annum, depending on

Working as part of a team you will
provide support by giving time to an allocated number of service
users and promote their recovery to ensure they can live
independently in the community.
You will possess a level 3 NVQ and
a certificate in Community Mental Health or be prepared to work
towards this qualification. You will have experience of working in
a mental health care setting, and will be able to demonstrate an
understanding of mental illness, either as a worker, carer or
service user. You must be able to demonstrate basic IT, literacy
and numeracy skills and have communication skills which will enable
you to create good working relationships with colleagues and
service users.
A willingness to undertake
suitable training would also be considered. You will also
have excellent communication skills, both verbal and
written.
This post will assist in ensuring
support is available as and when required, therefore it may be
necessary for you to work some evenings, weekends and public
holidays.

essential, but more important is your commitment and enthusiasm in
supporting vulnerable people. You should be a good communicator,
with the ability to create good working relationships with
colleagues and customers. The successful candidate will possess an
NVQ level 2, or equivalent, or be able to demonstrate a willingness
to work towards the qualification.

Case
Worker
Ref: B596
Mental Health – Balsall
Heath,
Birmingham
37.5 hours per week,
working on a flexible
rota
£15,916.00 - £19,687.00
per annum, depending on experience
Under the direction of the Service
Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for managing a staff team
providing dedicated support to service users who have Mental Health
in the Balsall Heath area; you will be providing direct support to
individuals within a defined caseload, developing and implementing
support plans and supervising the work of support
workers.
The service is also registered
with Care Quality Commission to provide domiciliary care where
required. An understanding of domiciliary care provision and care
standards is desirable.
You should hold an NVQ level 3 in
Care, or equivalent, or be willing to work towards the
qualification. You will have experience of providing support
to a similar client group and be knowledgeable about other
community based advice and support services. You will be able to
undertake assessments, plan support in conjunction with service
users, monitor the impact of the support and record and process
service data for regular monitoring reports.
To ensure support is available as
and when required you will be required to work some evenings
including sleep in duties, weekends and public
holidays.
In addition to completing

Day
Opportunities Worker – Registered
Care

Are you organised, enthusiastic
and committed to providing excellent care and support to vulnerable
adults? Could you assist adults with learning disabilities in one
of our registered care homes? Although you will be working as
part of a team you will be providing one to one support during the
day, supporting service users in the community and to enable them
to live independently. Support is also needed with personal care
and in house activities.
You will ideally hold an NVQ level
2 in Care, or equivalent, or be able to demonstrate a willingness
to work towards the qualification. Previous experience of providing
care to vulnerable people, or evidence of a similar experience is
an advantage, but more important is your commitment and enthusiasm
in supporting vulnerable people.
