Equality and Diversity
Friendship takes equality
seriously; it is at the core of all our activities. Many of
the areas we work in have a high proportion of ethnic minority
residents and many of our service users are members of ethnic
minorities.
The majority of our
employees are women and most of our workers are part-time.
We regularly review and
monitor all our recruitment practice practices in respect origin,
age, sexual, orientation, gender and disability.
Friendship aims to
recruit the person who is most suited to the particular job,
irrespective of age, disability, ethnicity, gender, marital status,
nationality, offending history, race, religion or belief, sexual
orientation, social status or trade union membership.
An Equalities Committee,
made up of employees from all parts of the organisation, meet
regularly to formulate a robust equality framework and ensure that
the organisation takes full responsibility for action in this
area. Friendship prides itself on being a forward-thinking
organisation which takes equality of opportunity seriously.
