Become a Resident Quality Inspector

What does this mean to me?

As a tenant you will get the opportunity to check out your own housing services to make sure we are getting it right for you.

Tell me about the training

  • The course is free
  • Your expenses are paid by Friendship.
  • Training is provided by Just Housing Residents Training Academy
  • You will receive full support from Friendship during training
  • Training will be carried out in the Derby area
  • The course consists of 7 one day sessions held over 15 weeks
  • The first course starts in April 2010

Do I get a qualification?

Yes, by successfully completing the course you will be awarded a level two

certificate in Housing, which is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Housing(equivalent to a standard GCSE).

What does a Resident Quality Inspector do?

As part of a team, you can get involved in inspecting our work and help us to keep improving services for the benefit of all tenants. You can also inspect other landlords’ services, by looking at the quality of:

  • estates and neighbourhoods
  • communal areas
  • empty homes
  • repairs
  • gas maintenance
  • major home improvements
