Do you need advice on how to manage your money better?

Do you want to know how to get the best out of your income?

If you have answered yes to any of these questions, this booklet is here to help you.

This booklet has been produced by Friendship Care and Housing (Friendship):

• To provide you with some basic advice to help you overcome your money worries

• To help you take control of your finances

• To improve the way you manage your money and help you to get the best out of your income

• To ensure that you are getting all the benefits that you are entitled to

• To provide details of agencies working within your areas, which can assist you with any financial difficulties you may have.

It is important that you deal with any money problems that you may have straight away.

The problems will not disappear….they will only get worse the longer you avoid them.

This booklet will provide you with a simple step-by-step guide on how to manage your money better and how you can prioritise your money worries.

It is important that you follow the information in the order that it has been produced, as it will guide you on which forms you need to complete and the information you will need to provide to those you owe money to (your creditors).

A check list has been provided to make sure that you have completed all the necessary stages/forms and to keep a track of what you have done.

After reading this booklet, you may feel that you can start to deal with your money problems yourself by using the Self Help Section. However, if you do need further advice or assistance, this booklet has the details of who you need to contact.
