Your Housing Association Needs You...
….With a slight slant on Lord Kitchener’s famous quote, this was
Friendship’s Managing Director, Jonathan Driffill’s key message to
more than 250 customers
who flocked to Friendship's Key Customer Conference
recently.
A rousing ‘here, here’ came from the audience
at the Beeches Conference Centre in Bournville, Birmingham, when
Jonathan announced that there had been major cultural change in
working with customers over the past three years, (despite the
economic downturn and the challenges of the last 12 months), real
headway and improvements are being made as a result of involving
and consulting with customers.
There were more than 30 stalls on the day
with representatives from the Police Authority, Fire Service, TPAS,
Social Services, Credit Union, career and job consultants and
Trading Standards. Friendship staff were on hand to provide
information across all services, including housing and property
management, care services, anti-social behaviour and confidential
money and debt advice.
Four exciting workshops were on offer; ‘Friendship’s
Care Hospital’, provided a first aider taster session helping to
assess and treat conditions such as stroke victims, asthmatics and
diabetes. Based on the game show, ‘Friendship Family
Fortunes’ had two teams going head to head in a fun money advice
quiz. A ‘Talking Heads’ style drama tackled and highlighted
examples of anti-social behaviour and an interactive workshop
centred around repairs and maintenance and provided a
practical insight into gas and electrical safety in the
home.
Organiser, Customer Relations Manager
Victoria Leonard said “I’m absolutely thrilled with the amount of
interest our customers have shown, our numbers have increased this
year and I hope this will encourage even more people to get
involved.”
