Alan Critchley - Regional Manager (West Midlands)

I’m Alan and I started at Friendship in 2010.

My career in social housing started back in 1974 as a technical assistant within the DLO (Direct Labour Organisation) in-house contracting unit at the City of Salford. I have managed a number of small/ medium sized DLO’s until about 5 years ago when I changed career direction to become part of operational management.

Since joining Friendship, I have played a lead part in developing new services and contracts, especially for day to day and void repairs and material procurement. 

I believe in involving customers in all aspects of the work and have enjoyed working with our customers in the recent contract procurement exercise.
