Get Involved
Help us to shape our repairs and improvement
service
At Friendship, we understand that we must
involve our customers if we are to provide good quality services
that you want and need.
Our property services team involves customers
in a variety of ways to improve our repairs and maintenance
services.
You could help us choose new contractors for
gas servicing, doors, kitchens or boilers.
We also have customer focus
groups in the East and West Midlands. These are
called Building Excellence Groups and the meetings are dedicated to
consulting and involving customers in property services
issues. If you would like to become involved with the
Building Excellence Groups, you would have the opportunity to
monitor, challenge and question contractors about the work they do
for us.

Repairs Interest Group (RIG)
As part of customer involvement at
Beechdale, one of the topic groups is the Repairs Interest Group
(RIG). This is made up of customers, neighbourhood officers and
contractors who meet every 5 to 6 weeks to look at issues around
repairs and programmed works.
The group also discusses guidelines
and policies about repairs, and recently looked at the asbestos
management policy.
We look at the type and specification
of materials used in planned and repair work carried out and often
get our contractors Morrison to bring along samples for us to look
at and comment on before being fitted to homes.
We have looked at proposals for a
replacement focal point fire, The group is helping us to choose the
type of fire we would like to see fitted when a replacement is
needed.
The Beechdale Estate Environmental
Society (BEES), and the RIG group are currently involved in
selecting contractors to tender for ground maintenance works on the
estate.
When new customers sign their tenancy
agreement at Beechdale they are invited to get involved in various
groups including RIG.
