Vision, Mission and Values
Friendship Care and Housing’s stated mission is to help people
lead fuller lives. We provide homes and support that meet
individual needs and create better neighbourhoods to live in.
We are committed to promoting equality, diversity and customer
awareness. Friendship is a member of and fully committed to
iN Business for
Neighbourhoods. We place excellence in customer
service and care as our core objective, to get things right first
time. This requires effective teamwork across all staff
groups in Friendship and all employees are expected to contribute
to the delivery of these customer focused services through our
teamwork approach.
Our organisational values are the principles
that guide how Friendship acts and that shapes its policies and
priorities. Our values are concerned with our relationships
with people, those who use our services, our employees and
volunteers and the wider communities where we work.
Equality is our core value. While
individuals and groups differ widely in their culture, experience,
aptitudes and aspirations, our guiding principles are that people
are of equal worth and that promoting diversity strengthens
Friendship and is essential to its success.
Friendship goes beyond a commitment to avoid
discrimination. Our aim is to put right wider inequalities
and tackle indirect discrimination, removing the barriers to a
fairer and more equal society. Likewise our proactive
approach to vulnerability and support is distinctive and value
driven.
