Val Saddington
Board Member 

Val, a Friendship tenant from Shepshed was appointed to Friendship’s Board of Management in 2009.

Retiring at the end of 2008, Val had worked for 31 years at a Leicestershire College where she was a Finance Officer working closely with staff and students.  During her career she was involved in quality standards, service agreements, strategic plans, customer care, budgets and accounts.

Val was also a part time teacher at the college and taught mature students who had no previous knowledge of computers to CLAIT level at two outreach centres in Leicester.

She has always been a member of the residents association on the estate in Shepshed where she has lived for 32 years.  During her time on the estate she assisted her husband in his duties as estate caretaker, a position which he held for 9 years and worked with other tenants on a day to day basis.

Val is an active member of Friendship's Customer Panel, and was involved in interviewing service contractors for us.
